When you sponsor a girl or boy from the OSCAR Foundation, you change many lives. Sponsorship provides the vital safety net for children living in the most deprived communities in Mumbai and rural India. It gives them confidence and hope, enabling them to reach their full potential. All our OSCAR children attend school creating a brighter future for them, their family and community.

Sponsoring children makes a very profound impact on a community. Educating the next generation improves the life chances of the individual, their family and their neighbours. An educated child challenges social stereotypes and stands up against discrimination. Education is the key to change.

Sponsorship helps protect girls from early marriage, abuse and youth pregnancy, providing mentorship for the most vulnerable and helping to end gender inequality. A sponsor can help the most marginalised in society and give special support to children living with disabilities. We are committed to expanding the OSCAR Enabling Change initiative.

HOW DOES THE SPONSORED CHILD BENEFIT? 

Your child will benefit from knowing there is someone supporting them. They will want to perform well to make you proud. All sponsored children attend school and OSCAR programmes regularly. Many sponsored children join the Young Leader programme and become role models in their community.
