Childrens Charity, India
We rely entirely on donations to fund our work. For larger donors, corporates, trust funds and grant funders there are many exciting opportunities to support bespoke projects. One such programme is the toy centre, which provides facilities for over 40 toddlers, 4 days a week and vital childcare for working parents. The rent, rates, staff and equipment costs in the region of £10,000 per annum, an investment with an immeasurable return! For more information on sponsoring a programme or team please contact lucinda@oscar-foundation.org.
Child sponsorship plays a vital part in ensuring no OSCAR child slips through the net. Sponsorship changes lives and mobilises a community to create a better, brighter future. Child Sponsorship is £25 per month or £300 per annum (plus eligible Gift Aid). (Those wishing to donate in US dollars please use the Global Giving platform : www.globalgiving.org)
Regular donations are a ‘gift which keeps on giving’. They help us sustain our work and provide the life-changing support the children need, whilst ensuring we are able to continue to deliver all the OSCAR programmes.
An OSCAR team is made up of 35 boys and girls from the most deprived communities. Our aim is to create a platform for girls and boys to play football together, irrespective of gender, caste, religion or background. Team sponsorship includes weekly football and life skills session, football and fitness kit, ground rental, first aid, nutritional supplements, transport and much more. To find out more email lucinda@oscar-foundation.org
Whether you prefer to give a single regular donation, we promise your generosity will change a life.
Children with disabilities are the most disadvantaged group in Indian society. They are 5 times more likely to be out of school & often subject to severe social exclusion. Negative attitudes deter disabled kids from taking part in the community or workforce. OSCAR’s specialised sports activities, events & equipment encourage & enable kids to be part of a team, to discover their own unique ability, in the classroom & on the field.
Leaving a legacy is the largest source of voluntary income in the charitable sector. It is both an emotional move and a wise financial investment and we warmly welcome your participation. Please email us for more information: lucinda@oscar-foundation.org.
The OSCAR UK Girls & Boys International tours provide a once in a lifetime opportunity for children living in the most marginalised communities in India. The two-week tour creates a platform for youth from both India and the UK to be part of a global community, to learn from and befriend their peers irrespective of nationality, religion, gender, caste or class. Pupils from the UK host schools engage with disadvantaged OSCAR kids and collaborate in educational and cultural workshops, football training and share in lifes challenges and successes. In October 2023 OSCAR will be sending 18 girls and boys.
Choosing to ‘gift a donation’ to family and friends is a meaningful and memorable present. OSCAR has a range of downloadable gift cards for you to print and send.
